Schist Villages Tours
Despite being 45 minutes from Tábua (although they belong to the district of Coimbra), a visit is recommended to visit these villages that the center of the country has not forgotten. It is possible to get to know the Schist Villages through walking trails or, for the more active, mountain biking routes.
Candal Village
In Serra da Lousã, this village is on a hill in the mountains, where the stream that gives it its name passes. It is considered one of the most developed and visited villages in the region, due to the unique beauty of its landscapes.
Talasnal:
Also in Serra da Lousã, it stands out for the dark shale used in most houses in the village. It is believed to date from the 17th century.
Chiqueiro:
This is the smallest of the Villages. With a privileged view over the mountains, it is not surprising if you see a herd of goats or even deer passing by - it has a very rich fauna.
